“Urban co-creation“ is en vogue. But how can it be achieved in planning practice? It requires methods that take the complexity of cities and their development into account and that, at the same time, have a low threshold for everyone to participate. The Urban Design Thinking (UDT) method is capable to include the needs of users in the development of their city within the framework of co-creative urban development and thus enables the generation of ideas for complex urban challenges. It was developed in 2015 by the Chair of Urban Renewal and Sustainable Development at the Technical University of Berlin, based on Stanford University’s Design Thinking method. UDT has already been applied in a variety of study and research projects, including the research project „Migrants4Cities“, which TU Berlin carried out together with the City of Mannheim and inter3 – Insitut für Ressourcenmanagement. This guide provides a practical overview of the application of UDT based on the project experiences of „Migrants4Cities“. It places the method in the context of co-creation in urban development. The necessary framework for a successful UDT process as well as the potential challenges are presented. Insights into UDT practice are provided by an overview of the ideas developed in the project „Migrants4Cities“ as well as an interactive UDT quick run-through, which, invites readers to try it out for themselves.

The next generation of driver assistance systems and highly automated driving functions are based on digital maps. In order to meet the high requirements on the correctness and up-to-dateness of this information, this work presents new automated methods to extract up-to-date map information from fleet data. The focus is on the inference of static intersection information from fleet data through machine learning and statistical methods.

This history of Ladin literature provides for the first time a comprehensive overview of 230 Dolomite-Ladin authors from the beginnings of Ladin literature (17th century) up to contemporary Ladin writing (2012). Each article on the authors contains a detailed biography, a complete catalog of works and a review of the oeuvre based on a representative sample of original texts, also translated into German. This new standard reference of Rhaeto-Romance Studies is completed by introductory chapters on the beginnings and the development of Ladin literature, its genres and themes, the history of research, the presence of Ladin literature in the Ladin-speaking media, the presence of Ladinia in German and Italian literature as well as a name index with as many as 3,000 entries.

Throughout the literature of creative learning, many assumptions and even stereotypes about the artists' creativity are nurtured, often according to myths going back to the Romanticism. The authors have been investigating and describing outstanding artists' creativity and learning/working processes, asking the question: how do artists create, learn, and organise their work? This book explores these questions by means of original empirical data (interviews with 22 artists) and theoretical research in the field of the arts and creativity from a learning perspective. Findings shed an original lig

The study is in the German-speaking area the first and only one, which empirically evaluates the argumentation skills of students (n=48) at the high school level. It furthermore draws consequences for the research in youth theology. As the technical didactical background served creation as a narration about a good beginning, and evolution as a description of the origin and development of different species. This made it possible to explore the communication form "arguing" in this fundamental research of the pedagogy of religion not only subject-specific but across different subjects. The results show that the researched students argue and thereby use different patterns subject-specific but also across different subjects. However, it remains unclear, whether they use these patterns consciously.

Philosophical theology in transition (II / 2) deepens the dialogue with the atheists (in II / 1) in terms of the history of metaphysics. Despite turning away from Hegel, they remain in the space of metaphysics through the development of their own ontologies. The understanding of being that they and their theological opponents presuppose levels the creator-creature relationship and distort it technomorphically. The deconstruction leads to a philosophy of creation as a gift that cannot be thought without being.
